Dominic Gallello, CEO

Dominic Gallello

CEO & President

Mr. Gallello is an established leader who brings to MSC a deep background in design software. Early in his career, he spent 11 years at Intergraph, leading the company's businesses in both China and Japan. Following his time with Intergraph, Mr. Gallello spent 10 years at Autodesk, serving as EVP Asia/Pacific, establishing and running the high growth Mechanical Division and later served as EVP for all design and engineering related products. Throughout his career, Mr. Gallello has established a track record of building great products, driving an intense customer focus and building global brands. He is on the Corporate Member Advisory Committee for Aviation and Aeronautics for the American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics (AIAA) and is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Industry Leadership Coalition. Mr. Gallello holds both BA and MBA degrees from Monmouth University.

Kevin Rubin, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Rubin leads MSC's financial operations, bringing extensive experience leading both public and private technology companies through fast growth and expansion. Prior to joining MSC, Mr. Rubin served as Chief Financial Officer for Pictage, a venture-backed Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider, DataDirect Networks, a data storage equipment provider, and MRV Communications, a publicly traded telecommunications equipment provider. Mr. Rubin started his career at Arthur Andersen as a member of its Technology Practice. Mr. Rubin is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in California and holds a bachelor's degree in business economics, with an emphasis in accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Doug Neill, VP Product Development

Doug Neill

Vice President, Product Development

Mr. Neill, with over 25 years of experience in engineering and engineering methods development, is recognized internationally as an expert in aeroelastic optimization. Mr. Neill began his career at Northrop Grumman, where he developed interdisciplinary structural optimization tools that were applied in the design of a number of air vehicles including the High Speed Civil Transport, the Naval variant of the YF-23 fighter and several high altitude, long endurance platforms. With both senior executive and technical responsibilities for design optimization, aerospace applications, and business development at engineering simulation software companies including Universal Analytics (UAI), The MacNeal Group, and MSC Software, Mr. Neill has extensive expertise in Multi-Disciplinary (MD) finite element solver development and in the architecture of the MD framework for the integration of NASTRAN, Marc, Dyna and Dytran technologies. Mr. Neill holds a Bachelor of Science (cum laude) in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the University of Washington.

Ken Welch, VP - Strategy & Product Management

Vice President, Strategy & Product Management

Mr. Welch has a long track record of success in the Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) and Computer Aided Design (CAD) industry in a variety of technical, sales, marketing and product strategy roles. He has an outstandingly diverse corporate background working at both established companies like Autodesk and Rockwell Corporation as well venture funded startups like Rasna Corporation and Moldflow Corporation. Mr. Welch holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of California at Davis and is a graduate of the AeA/Stanford Executive Institute.

Bert Knops, VP Global Services

As Vice President of Global Services Mr. Knops brings along 18 years of experience in CAE with MSC and Marc. He joined Marc in 1994 and during these 17 years he demonstrated success in various technical and sales roles. He was involved in services, pre-sales and technical support at Marc and held a sales leadership position for Western Europe. At MSC Mr. Knops demonstrated success in several technical roles managing the EMEA Services Team, Product Expert Team and since 2009 the complete Technical Team. Furthermore, Mr. Knops also served as Country Manager for the Benelux Region for several years. He holds an M.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering and a PhD on Fracture Mechanics both from Delft University of Technology.

John Janevic, VP Strategic Operations

John Janevic

Vice President, Strategic Operations

As Vice President of Strategic Operations, Mr. Janevic brings 21 years of CAE industry experience with MSC and Mechanical Dynamics, Inc. In his role, Mr. Janevic is responsible for MSC’s Technology Partner Program, in addition to MSC’s OEM-licensed software program, and mergers and acquisitions. In previous roles, Mr. Janevic directed business analysis and strategic pricing, and held a variety of marketing and services positions. Mr. Janevic holds an M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a B.S. degree in Engineering Science from the University of Michigan.

Doug Campbell, VP General Counsel

Mr. Campbell joined MSC in June, 2005, and has served as the Company's Vice President and General Counsel since January, 2007. From April 2004 to June 2005, Mr. Campbell served as Vice President, Secretary and Chief Legal Counsel for Kendle International Inc., a NASDAQ listed company that is a leading global clinical research organization. From 1998 to 2004, Mr. Campbell served in several roles of increasing responsibility for Structural Dynamics Research Corporation and its acquirer, Electronic Data Systems Corporation ("EDS") most recently as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for EDS' then wholly-owned subsidiary, Unigraphics Solutions. Prior to 1998 Mr. Campbell was a partner with the Cincinnati, Ohio based law firm of Dinsmore & Shohl, LLP. Mr. Campbell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in History from Bates College and received his J.D. from University of Michigan in 1988.

Takehiko Kato, President - MSC Japan

Mr. Kato is a pioneer in the Japanese CAE market. He has over 25 years experience in the CAE industry and over 30 years in FEM. Mr. Kato started his career with Cray Research Inc. as a Structural Analysis Specialist. During his tenure at Cray and SGI as Marketing Director, Sales Director, and Managing Director, he played a major role in shaping the HPC market in Japan. He later went on to be Executive Vice President of Engineous Software, Inc. and Representative Director/President of Engineous Japan, Inc., covering the Asia/Pacific Region where he consecutively generated more than 50% of the company’s worldwide revenue. Most recently, Mr. Kato was the General Manager of SLM Asia/Pacific at Dassault Systemes Simulia Corp. as result of the Engineous acquisition of Dassault Systemes. Mr. Kato is often invited as keynote speaker and lecturer for various academic and industrial institutions. He holds an MS Degree from the Pennsylvania State University and was elected as a fellow member of JSME (Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers) for his contribution on Computational Mechanics and Design Engineering.

Kais Bouchiba, Senior Vice President, EMEA

Mr.Bouchiba is an international executive known for his strategic and operational focus with 20 years of technical, sales and management experience in the CAE Software business. He joined MSC in November 1998 as the Technical Manager in France and demonstrated continuous success in his roles as French Country Manager, EMEA Technical VP, EMEA VP for the Enterprise Business and finally the VP for General Business. Kais is the executive sponsor of strategic relationships with many of MSC's key customers. Prior to joining MSC, Kais spent 9 years with the French Ansys support Distributor where he held the position of Chief Scientist. He holds a Grandes Ecoles Award Master of Science and Engineering Degree from the National School of Electricity and Mechanics, member of the National Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine.

Eric Favre, VP, Sales

Vice President, Asia Pacific

Mr. Favre is responsible for all businesses in the Asia Pacific region, which includes China, Korea, India, Australia/New Zealand, Taiwan and the ASEAN countries. Prior to MSC.Software's appointment, Favre was Vice President Asia Pacific at Dassault Systemes, where he was responsible for managing the DELMIA (digital manufacturing) business. During his tenure at Dassault, Favre also oversaw the CATIA business across major regions in Asia. In 2003, Favre moved to Shanghai, where he assumed the position of Vice President at Tecnomatix. He pioneered the business in Greater China and managed the South Asia region, where he achieved significant business growth until the subsequent acquisition of Tecnomatix. Favre's ten-year tenure at Tecnomatix included sales leadership positions in France and later across Western Europe, where he led the explosive growth through new customer acquisitions and penetration into industries including aerospace, automotive and electronics. Favre started as a design engineer at Du Pont Engineering Polymers and was soon promoted to a sales position. Favre then joined PTC in France and presided over the territory sales for several years. Favre graduated as a mechanical engineer from one of the most famous Grandes Ecoles in France, Arts and Metiers (ENSAM).

Michael Lambert, Vice President, Americas

Mr. Lambert leads MSC's business across North and South America. Coming to MSC after four very successful years in sales management at Parametric Technology Corporation, a leading computer-aided design and product lifecycle management firm focused on medical device, high-tech and manufacturing industries, he uniquely combines an awareness of our clients' product development challenges, skill at executive relationship-building, and the managerial discipline to lead his team to a new level of operational excellence and productivity. Prior to his service to PTC, Mr. Lambert contributed for nearly a decade in multiple capacities at IBM, capped by three years as client manager in the OEM automotive industry. His understanding of the aerospace industry comes firsthand from his pre-IBM tenure as a U.S. Marine Corps officer leading various organizations in fixed-wing jet maintenance and supply chain operations. Mr. Lambert holds a Distinguished B.S. in Honors Mathematics from the U.S. Naval Academy.

Jean-Louis Migeot, CEO, FFT an MSC Software Company

Jean-Louis Migeot

CEO, FFT an MSC Software Company

Mr. Migeot holds a PhD in Acoustics from the University of Brussels and an MBA from the same university. He has spent his entire career in CAE, first in vibration analysis while working for SDRC then in acoustics when he joined Numerical Integration Technologies. In 1998 he co-founded Free Field Technologies with Jean-Pierre Coyette and made the company a leader in the field of acoustic CAE. Jean-Louis teaches Engineering Acoustics at the University of Brussels and is a member of the Belgian Royal Academy.

Roger Assaker

Roger Assaker

CEO, e-Xstream engineering and Chief Material Strategist, MSC Software

Roger holds a PhD and MS in Aerospace Engineering with a strong focus on nonlinear computational mechanics where he totals more than 20 years of experience. Roger complemented his engineering education with an MBA in International Business and several advanced technology, business and entrepreneurship courses from prestigious universities such as MIT. In parallel to growing e-Xstream to be the world leader in advanced composite modeling, Roger is the Vice Chairman of NAFEMS Composite Working Group and active member of other technical material associations such as SPE and SAMPE.
