Post Conference Training Seminars
Attendees were able to maximize the benefit of the conference by attending a training seminar focused on the use of simulation to solve
real world problems.
COMPOSITES TRAINING SEMINAR
Instructor: Andrew Main
MSC.Nastran is widely used for composites analysis in the aerospace industry. Over the last five years, MSC.Software's
composites simulation and data sharing capabilities have been expanded significantly to meet the rapidly evolving
requirements of all composites industry sectors. This seminar provided an overview of recently-developed capabilities
and techniques, illustrated using example aerospace components. A basic knowledge of composites analysis was assumed
and following advanced topics were discussed:
- Ply-based composites modeling
- Draping simulation
- Model visualization and verification
- Failure analysis
- Analysis of thick sections
- Optimization with MSC.Nastran SOL 200
- Nonlinear analysis with MSC.Marc
- Integrated design, analysis and manufacturing (data transfer)
ROBUST DESIGN TRAINING SEMINAR
Instructor: Gene Allen
ROBUST DESIGN SEMINAR In conjunction with the April 8-10 Conference,
MSC.Software conducted a Seminar on Robust Design. The seminar provided
an overview of how to conduct Robust Design featuring MSC.Software's new
capability. The Seminar showed how you can effectively engineer your products
by coherently and quickly exploring the product design by conducting hundreds
to thousands of analysis. With this capability you will be able to get
better products to market faster and at less cost and less risk by doing
better engineering.
What was Learned:
The seminar will describe and demonstrate MSC’s new Robust Design tools, including
an overview of several design exploration methods
means on how to easily capture an engineering analysis process
the process for getting this capability within your organization.
FLIGHTLOADS
Instructor: Doug Neill
MSC.Flightloads allows engineers to more accurately, efficiently, and confidently predict external loads on air vehicles
as well as predict structural dynamic response (flutter).
Together with Boeing, leading MSC.Software experts will demonstrate how your company will benefit from this technology.
