Conference Highlights
The EMEA (Europe, Middle-East & Africa) VPD Conference 2004 at the Hilton Park Hotel in Munich from November 22nd to November 24th has been drawing the attendance of about 500 international
visitors. Sponsored by IBM/Dassault Systèmes, HP, and Intel, the three-day event in Munich was accompanied by a technology exhibition of 18 software, services and hardware partners.
The exhibition was enhanced with displays from MSC.Software showing the new product families of MSC.Software - SimOffice, MSC.SimManager, and SimDesigner. Two racing cars, from
Triple Eight Racing and Sauber Motorsport, and nine poster presentations completed the exhibition.
In total more than 100 presentations were included in the EMEA Conference agenda. Each day started with invited "Management Track" keynote presentations from experts of the different
industries, describing the implementation of VPD within their processes, or with keynote presentations given by MSC.Software executives describing the strategic direction of the company.
The keynotes were followed by three parallel "Technical Track" sessions arranged by industry and discipline application. Further "Special Interest Groups" allowed attendees to focus on
MSC.Software products and strategies and to give personal input on future development directions. Additional training sessions also allowed delegates to experience the latest developments
in the recent 2005 product releases.
"We are extremely encouraged with the feedback from our first EMEA Conference", said Amir Mobayen, Corporate Senior Vice President EMEA Operations, MSC.Software. "The technical scenarios
and management strategies presented at this Conference have reconfirmed the alignment of our VPD strategy and offerings with the requirements of our customers. We will continue to build
upon the strong partnerships demonstrated over the past few days to create VPD solutions which exceed our customers' business challenges and further enhance their competitive position".
