VIRES Sponsors Carolo Cup 2019, a Worldwide University Autonomous Driving Competition
NEWPORT BEACH, CA (January 10, 2019) – VIRES, an MSC Software Company, will participate as one of the sponsors for next year's Carolo Cup in Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany, which will take place on February 4th and 5th, 2019. The Carolo Cup is a student competition that provides university teams with a platform for the design and implementation of small-scale autonomous cars. The main challenge is to implement cutting-edge algorithmic solutions for vehicle control and environment perception, based on a realistic application scenario. During the competition, several driving tasks have to be executed as fast and precisely as possible.
The Carolo Cup 2019 is going to host more than 20 teams from around the world competing over two days to solve autonomous driving tasks. This well-established competition is hosted by Braunschweig University of Technology in Germany, which has been a long-time partner of VIRES and has been using VIRES’s Virtual Test Drive (VTD) software in their ADAS/Autonomous driving projects. Marius Dupuis will be a member of the competition jury.
