NEWMAN/ HAAS/LANIGAN RACING SPEEDS TOWARDS THEIR 100TH WIN WITH MSC.SOFTWARE


Champ Car World Series Champions Rely on MSC.Software's Adams to Optimize Race Car Chassis & Suspension Performance


SANTA ANA, Calif. - June 7, 2007 - MSC.Software Corp. (NASDAQ: MSCS), the leading global provider of enterprise simulation solutions including simulation software and services, today announced that Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing (NHLR), the Champ Car World Series Champions for three years running, is on track to celebrate their 100th win in part due to their use of MSC.Software’s Adams to tune and optimize race car chassis and suspension performance for a race. By using Adams to run simulations of the car on the track based on data collected from actual test runs, the team (is able to make adjustments that improve the speed and handling of the vehicle. This allows them to optimize vehicle performance and gain a winning edge over their competition.
