MSC.Software Names Masood Jabbar to Board of Directors
SANTA ANA, Calif. - July 13, 2005 - MSC.Software Corp. (OTC: MNSC), the leading global provider of virtual product development (VPD) solutions including simulation software and services, today announced that Masood Jabbar has joined the Company's board of directors and has been appointed to the board's compensation committee.
Mr. Jabbar spent more than 16 years in senior management positions at Sun Microsystems, including executive vice president and advisor to the CEO, executive vice president of global sales operations, president of the Computer Systems Division and vice president, chief financial officer and chief of staff of Sun Microsystems Computer Corporation. Prior to joining Sun Microsystems, Mr. Jabbar held executive positions at Xerox Corporation as well as IBM Corporation. Mr. Jabbar serves on the board of directors of Openwave Systems and Silicon Image. Mr. Jabbar holds a masters degree in international management from the American Graduate School of International Management, an MBA from West Texas A&M University and a bachelors degree in economics & statistics from the University of the Punjab, Pakistan.
