SANTA ANA, Calif. - November 29, 2005 - MSC.Software Corp. (OTC: MNSC), the leading global provider of virtual product development (VPD) solutions including simulation software and services, today announced the appointment of Gerard Rego, an experienced enterprise software executive, as the vice president and general manager of India product development. Gerard will be responsible for India operations including product development and support.

Gerard Rego is a seasoned international software executive with 15 years of extensive experience in the areas of high technology, enterprise software and information communication and technology. Gerard joins MSC from Liqwid Krystal where he served as chief technology officer. Prior to Liqwid Krystal, he served as the founder and chief executive officer of eSymmetryx technologies. Gerard also served as the chief executive officer of Baron Hexa. During his career, Gerard has become a member of numerous professional organizations, been selected as a professional mentor by key institutions and published over 50 articles. He became a Wharton Fellow in 2005, a Reuters Digital Vision Fellow in 2006 and is a visiting scholar at Stanford University. Gerard is currently pursuing a master's in philosophy, holds a master's degree in sociology and bachelor's degree in mathematics.
