What's New in SimDesigner R2 Workbench Edition for CATIA V5R17
SimDesigner Workbench Edition for CATIA offers the most extensive suite of CAE capabilities for the CATIA V5 CAD environment. Fully embedded inside V5, the SimDesigner workbenches, powered by MD Nastran and MD ADAMS, provide a range of solutions for linear and nonlinear analysis, and motion simulation on parts and assemblies.
With R2, SimDesigner provides new capabilities and enhancements to further extend performance, multidisciplinary analysis, ease-of-use, and enterprise collaboration.
Structures Workbench
The SimDesigner Structures Workbench has been extended to include:
- Updated Solver Support to MD Nastran R2
- Nonlinear Capabilities now available in Structures Workbench
- CASI nonlinear solver option available within Structures Workbench
Motion Workbench
The SimDesigner Motion Workbench has been extended to include:
- New Point Measure Capability in Motion Workbench to measure Displacement, Velocity and accelerations at any points on the model
SimEnterprise Interoperability
SimDesigner provides integration with SimManager for built-in check-in and check-out of simulation data. The interoperability with SimManager has been extended to include:
- The ability to retrieve, execute and publish expert templates authored in SimXpert
- Post-processing motion and structures template results in CATIA V5
- Capture simulation pedigree of SimDesigner analyses in SimManager
