What is user tracking?
Due to the large amount of
information and multimedia content included on this CD, a user tracking
feature has been added that will chart your progress as you navigate
through the CD. Consequently, when starting the program, you will be
prompted to logon with a unique user name. You must select a user name
before entering the program. Once a user name is created, it will be
saved and accessible the next time you start 'Exploring MSC.Patran'.
There is no limit to the number of user names that can be stored.

Technical Notes
- While running 'Exploring
MSC.Patran', pressing the Escape key will exit the program without
warning. Quitting the application in this manner will not save the
progress of the current user.
- Changing screen resolutions
while 'Exploring MSC.Patran' is running may cause the program to quit
without warning. If screen resolution needs to be changed, we recommend
quitting the program first, then relaunching 'Exploring MSC.Patran'
after the screen resolution has been reset.
- When navigating within
'Exploring MSC.Patran', allow a moment for each screen to fully load
before using any of the controls. Rapid clicking and dragging may
overload the program and cause an error.
- When starting 'Exploring
MSC.Patran' a user name must be specified. If a user name is not specified
within the allowed logon time, the application will automatically
quit.
- For Macintosh users:
If you are running 'Exploring MSC.Patran' on a computer with multiple
monitors, please make sure that the Startup Monitor is Monitor #1
and that it is set to at least 800x600 resolution. This can be verified
under the 'Monitors' control panel.
- Network Version:
Installing a network-enabled version of 'Exploring MSC.Patran' can
be done only on a Windows 95 or Windows NT server. There is no Macintosh
network version. For more information on obtaining a network-enabled
version of 'Exploring MSC.Patran', contact your MSC sales representative.
