Please Note that the 2012 releases of most MSC products will be the last releases that support the 32-bit Linux platform. Starting in 2013, supported platforms for Linux will be 64-bit as shown in the table above.
Product Specific Platform Support Details
This section provides all product specific changes to the General Platform Support Roadmap.
| Actran | Actran 12.1 is only available on IBM AIX 64-bit, Linux 64-bit , and Windows 32 and 64-bit. |
| Adams | Adams 2012 (and later) is only available on Windows and Linux. Adams 2012 (and 2013) is not certified to run on Windows XP. Adams 2013 will be the last release to support Windows 32-bit. For SUSE ES 11 SP1, Adams is certified to run on Intel/AMD X86 (64-Bit) only. Adams 2013 will support the same Linux levels as 2012 (RH 5.4), and not the ones shown in the table under 2013. |
| MSC Fatigue | MSC Fatigue 2012 will not be supported on the Intel Itanium Hardware or the Solaris 8664 Operating System. MSC Fatigue will follow the General Platform Roadmap in 2013. |
| Marc | Marc 2012 is not supported on HPUX , SGI IRIX, or Sun Solaris. Marc will follow the General Platform Roadmap in 2013. Marc 2013 will also support Windows XP for 32 and 64-bit. |
| MSC Nastran | RedHat Linux 5.4 will also be supported in 2013. MSC Nastran 2013 will also support Windows XP for 32 and 64-bit. |
| MSC Nastran Desktop | MSC Nastran Desktop is available on Windows and Linux only. |
| Patran | Patran 2012 will not be supported on the Intel Itanium Hardware or the Solaris 8664 Operating System. In addition to the platforms defined in the table above, Patran 2013 will also support Windows XP for 32 and 64-bit. |
| SimDesigner | SimDesigner is supported on Windows only. |
| SimManager | SimManager is supported on Linux 64-bit, Solaris 8664 64-bit, and Windows 64-bit only. |
| SimXpert | SimXpert is only supported on Windows (32 and 64-bit) and Linux (32 and 64-bit). |
| Sinda | Sinda is available on Windows only. Sinda 2013 will also support Windows XP for 32 and 64-bit. |
| XFlow | XFlow is available on 64-bit versions on Windows and Linux only. |
Microsoft Windows 8 Support
MSC Software will continue to evaluate the support of Windows 8. If this OS is commercially available in 2013 and there is a customer demand, MSC Software may add it to the list of supported platforms for 2013.
MSC Licensing (FLEXNet Licensing) Platform Support
The following MSC Licensing platforms are currently supported for Version 11.9.

This list of supported MSC Licensing platforms is subject to change. MSC Software continues to review the platform requirements of our customers and will announce any changes to these supported platforms in the product release documentation and on this website.
