2005r2 and 2005r3 InterOP R16 (CATIA) patch

Installing this patch into one of the above versions of Patran will upgrade the InterOP CAD Access support from level R15 to R16. This allows access of part and product files created in CATIA R16.

NOTE: If you are using SUN SOLARIS 8, PATCH 117557-03 is required for CATIA V5 R16 to work properly. Please refer to:

Package Installation

To install these files, download the archive file and place it into the $P3_HOME directory for the platform. $P3_HOME is the Patran installation directory. Some default installation path examples are:

/msc/patran2005r3/
C:\MSC.Software\MSC.Patran\2005_r3\

Do this for all installations of Patran as indicated above. This is where you will uncompress the file archive.

To Install On Unix:
The following example assumes that the tar file "suns_p3convert.tar.gz" has been copied to the "$P3_HOME" directory on the current machine. It also assumes that the environment variable $P3_HOME has been set correctly to point to the installation directory for a given Patran version:

cd $P3_HOME
gunzip -d < suns_p3convert.tar.gz | tar xvf -

To Install On Windows:
Run "WinZip" or an equivalent program that is capable of uncompressing "ZIP" files. Uncompress the ZIP file from the "$P3_HOME" location, unloading the files into the appropriate subdirectories.
