V2005 Patch for MSC.Fatigue/Analysis Manager

Introduction:
This document contains: 1) a description of the contents of the patch, 2) the issues fixed 
with the patch, 3) instructions on installing the patch on Windows machines. The same 
patch can be used for installations based on Patran or Standalone Fatigue.


Description:
These files are being posted on the web for all platforms for both the MSC.Fatigue for 
Patran and Standalone installs, in order to resolve the following issues in 
MSC.Fatigue V2005:

1.	The version of Analysis Manager on the MSC.Patran 2005 CD does not contain
the FatMgr executable needed to allow Analysis Manager to work with MSC.Fatigue 2005.


This patch contains the following:

Executables -- $AM_HOME/bin/HP700/FatMgr, $AM_HOME/bin/HPIPF/FatMgr,
               $AM_HOME/bin/LX86/FatMgr, $AM_HOME/bin/RS6K/FatMgr,
               $AM_HOME/bin/SGI5/FatMgr, $AM_HOME/bin/SUNS/FatMgr,
               $AM_HOME/bin/WINNT/FatMgr.exe
Shared libraries -- none


Instructions for Loading the Update:
The patch contains the necessary files for patching Windows MSC.Fatigue/
Analysis Manager V2005 installations. For Windows systems, follow the directions
given below:


Windows Systems:
Installation of the patch for Windows systems requires the following steps:
1) Download the patch file from the e-com web site to a temporary directory.
2) Execute the patching run by double-clicking on the patch file.
3) when prompted for the installation folder, be sure to give the location
   where Analysis Manager has been installed. (Note that the default is 
   C:\MSC.Software\MSC.Analysis_Manager\2005r2.)
4) If the default installation folder is incorrect, use the "browse" button
   to navigate to the correct installation folder.
5) Click the "finish" button to install the patch.
6) No re-starting of the MSC.Analysis Manager client and server services is required.
 
Note: The patch files will be installed into the folder specified on the "Installation
Folder" form, even if the folder did not previously exist. In such a case, a warning
is issued and the user can correct the path information.

Finally, note that the installation location for the Windows patch is the 
MSC.Analysis_Manager\2005r2 folder. This should not be confused with the MSC.Patran
installation folder, which was the previous location for MSC.Anaysis Manager on Windows
machines. For unix/linux users, the patch location remains the MSC.Patran folder.
