Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Runtimes (redistributable)

This download is to address an omission on the MSC FEA - MSC AFEA 2007r1 installation for the Windows platform.

FEA/AFEA 2007r1 (just like Patran 2007r1) requires updated vC++ runtimes. The Patran installation will perform this at the end of the installation process. FEA/AFEA 2007, however, did not include this in the installation process.

*Note* The vanilla Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable that is currently available from Microsoft's site is not compatible with Patran/FEA/AFEA 2007r1. Either the older one included with the Patran 2007r1 install or the 2005 SP1 downloads below will work.

You may obtain compatible versions of the required vC++ runtimes from either of two places below:

Choose to either "Run" this executable from your browser, or "Save" and then manually run if your browser security settings do not let you do this. Also do "Save" if you do not have administrative rights on the machine. See the note below.

*Note* You will need to have administrative rights to install the package on your computer. A reboot should not be necessary, but might be required if other applications were open at the time of install. Likewise, a separate download for Windows XP x64 is not necessary. The executables for Patran 2007r1 are currently just 32-bit. Hence, the x86 download is all that is needed.
