The Spot Weld analysis module is robust, easy to use, and is an integrated part of MSC Fatigue. It finds all the spot welds that cause problems. The method is generally applicable and handles multiaxial loadings. Using the generic material properties, predictions can be somewhat conservative however. Some of the other spot weld S-N curves may be more appropriate or you may need to derive or create your own.
