This section describes the aerospace spectrum file support in MSC.Fatigue. Load time histories are not required as stress spectra are generated entirely from the information in ASCII editable Spectrum (extension .spe) and Load Control files (extension .lcs). In essence, the stress spectrum at each analysis location (nodes or elements) is generated by stepping through a sequence of static load cases that are defined in the Load Control file.
