Load cases in Patran enable you to group a series of load sets into one load environment for your model. Load cases are selected when defining an analysis job. The usage within MD Nastran is similar. Patran uses the selected load cases to create the necessary SUBCASE commands in the Case Control Section of the NASTRAN input file.
