There is no automatic setup for UNIX system. The files and folders must be copied manually. The P3 home directory is different from the Windows, and usually looks like /msc/patran2005r2/… Also, some of the MSC Sinda for Patran files are system and version dependent.
1. Copy the MSC Sinda for Patran files and folders from CD into the P3 home directory and MSC Sinda installation directory. The files and folders have the same names as shown under the Windows installation.
2. The customized MSC Sinda settings can be saved in user_account_directory /sindaprefs/pat2sg.ini. When a new model is open, if this file exists, the saved settings will be automatically used as the default.
