Initial Temperature
There are two locations to define initial temperature: Load/Create/Initial Temperature /Nodal/Input Data… or Analysis/Analyze/Thermal Solution Setup…/ Specify Initial Conditions. The initial temperature uses 0.0 as the default value.
1. To define a constant initial temperature, either of the above two locations is fine.
2. To use the previous MSC Sinda result, use Analysis/Analyze/Thermal Solution Setup… /Specify Initial Conditions, check the MSC Sinda Restart Option/Using Previous Result (if available).
3. To use an existing temperature spatial field, use Load/Create/Initial Temperature /Nodal/Input Data… just click the spatial field name in the spatial fields window.
4. To define a temperature spatial field, use Field/Create/Spatial/, select one of the four methods to create certain kinds of spatial fields.
FEM Dependent Data… is used to create/edit a nodal based spatial field. This kind of field can also be edited/created in Field/Create/Spatial/FEM/, select FEM Field Definition as Discrete, select Entity Type as Node, click Input Data….
