Load cases in Patran are used to group a series of load sets into one load environment for the model. Load cases are selected when defining an analysis job. The usage within MD Nastran is similar. The individual load sets are translated into MD Nastran load sets, and the load cases are used to create the SUBCASE commands in the Case Control Section.
