SimDesigner Bundle


This bundle contains software targeted at CAD-embedded simulation inside CATIA V5, especially for structural, thermal, and impact-related finite element analysis (FEA) and motion analysis (multi-body dynamics). This is the same SimDesigner Enterprise software used by major manufacturers around the world – no functionality has been removed.

The lists below identify which MSC products are currently included with this bundle.

There are currently no optional 3rd-party-based products available for an additional fee.

*Crash workbench does not include the solver LS-DYNA; it must be purchased separately.

The following product family versions are available with the University SimDesigner Bundle:
- SimDesigner R2 Enterprise -- Workbench Edition for CATIA V5 (compatible with CATIA V5R17, V5R18)

Use of SimDesigner Workbench Edition for CATIA requires the following CATIA pre-requisites, which are not included in University SimDesigner Bundle:
- CATIA - Mechanical Design 2 Configuration (MD2)
- Generative Part Structural Analysis (GPS)
- DMU Kinematics Simulator (KIN)
- DMU Engineering Analysis Review (ANR)
