Signs agreement with MSC Software to provide students exposure to industry-leading tools and technologies

Bangalore, May 7, 2019: MSC Software Corporation, a leading simulation software, and service provider (part of Hexagon), today announced that it has signed an agreement with Manila-based FEATI University. to provide students access to training programmes in MSC Software starting this year.

The University will get select Faculty members trained and certified by MSC Software and will subsequently include MSC tools in its academic syllabus/curriculum for Finite Element Methods courses. The University will also dedicate a lab with MSC tools for students to practice and conduct training.

Speaking on the announcement, Francis Segovia, CEO, FEATI University said, "The Aerospace industry relies heavily on some of the leading MSC Software tools to analyze and predict stress and strain, vibration and dynamics, acoustics, and thermal analysis. This tie-up with MSC Software is another step in this direction."

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has also certified the University as an accredited aviation training organization of good standing. Over the years, FEATI University has collaborated with government and private institutions in Research and Development, including some pioneering experiments on rockets, ultra-light planes, aircraft made of indigenous materials, and alternative fuels. It is also working with the Department of Science & Technology (DOST) of the Philippines Government on the development of an unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV).
