Dr. Mehmet Itik
Karadeniz Technical University, Turkey

RESEARCH GOALS: Dr. Itik and the research team at Karadeniz Technical University are constructing a mathematical model of a robotic hand operated by a polymer (artificial) muscles to replace traditional methods.

METHODS:

MSC RESEARCH ASSIST AWARD: Dr. Itik and the Karadeniz Technical University were awarded SimXpert for the simulation of the systems and controls of artificial muscles.
