RESEARCH GOALS: Mr. Sachinraj intends to predict grain growth in the heat affected zone (HAZ) of low carbon steels, which are widely used in different industries, during gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) process.

METHODS:

MSC RESEARCH ASSIST AWARD: Mr. Sachinraj and Sant Longowal Institue of Engineering and Technology have been awarded Marc to define the finite element analysis for the grain growth during the thermal process of welding.

BIO: Mr. Sachinraj earned his Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Institution of Engineers (India) in 2013. Now, he is pursuing his Master from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, India.

Mr. Sachinraj is specialized in the field of welding technology and his research is related to the heat transfer and grain growth in materials during welding. He has been awarded a GATE scholarship from the Indian government.
