RESEARCH GOALS: Müller Technologie AG, Coventry University and Stefan Müller are investigating tractive forces of road wheels on railway rails with the aim to predict overall pulling power of road-rail vehicles.

METHODS:

MSC RESEARCH ASSIST AWARD:  Müller Technologie AG, Coventry University and Stefan Müller are using Adams to accurately predict traction forces for any type of RRV under any given condition.

BIO: Stefan Müller graduated with an honours bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Winterthur's School of Engineering, Switzerland, in 2002. His final year project aimed at supercharging a motorcycle. In 2005 he graduated with honours in Automotive Engineering from Coventry University. The final year project was a driver model executed and validated in MSC's Adams.

Stefan Müller joined Coventry Universities PhD program in 2016. With his 20 years of work experience with road-rail vehicles he attempts to bring some science in an otherwise rather hands on environment.
