The Ohio State University, United States
RESEARCH GOALS: Mr. Rao is working to develop a 3D model of three-wheeled vehicle and analyze the stability of such vehicles in yaw and roll under every day driving conditions.
MSC RESEARCH ASSIST AWARD: Mr. Rao and The Ohio State University were awarded Adams/Car to conduct a wide array of vehicle dynamics and vehicle controls research.

BIO: Sughosh Rao holds a MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University, specializing in vehicle dynamics where he worked on modeling and validating vehicles using Adams and testing computer controlled suspension systems using the model.
Mr. Rao is a PhD candidate in the Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering Department at The Ohio State University. Presently he is working on his doctoral research with the U.S. Department of Transportation, building a Hardware-in-the-Loop test set up to test heavy truck electronic stability control systems. Mr. Rao is also conducting research on three-wheeled vehicle stability.
Mr. Rao has authored several papers that have been presented at international conferences including SAE and ASME. His interests span vehicle dynamics, modeling, simulation and control.
