Europe, Middle East, Africa

October 24 - 26, 2005
Hilton Munich Park, Munich, Germany

Retrospect

"Participation in the EMEA VPD Conference was an ideal opportunity for Bombardier Transportation to remain close to the business and the technical solutions at MSC. They are very important to the practical reality of our enterprise wide design and manufacturing operation. Furthermore I enjoyed the presentations and discussions, which have given guidance for the next steps in our engineering world."

Dr. Tjark Siefkes, Senior Director Advanced Technology Development and Centres of Competence, Bombardier Transportation

"MSC's VPD Conference in Munich was a very informative and well managed event. It reinforced their new direction as a broad-based VPD solution provider, and the commitment of their new executive team to clarify this direction to the industry"

Ed Miller, President, CIMdata

The 2005 MSC.Software Virtual Product Development (VPD) Conference Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) at the Hilton Park Hotel in Munich again gathered over 500 attendees including engineering teams, press and management executives from over 30 countries. Sponsored by IBM, Intel, sgi, Microsoft, HP, AMD and Dassault Systemes the three-day event in Munich was accompanied by a technology exhibition of 20 software, services and hardware partners. The exhibition was enhanced with displays from MSC.Software showing the three product families of MSC.Software - SimOffice, MSC.SimManager, and SimDesigner.

A wide bandwidth of keynote, technology track and poster presentations gave a detailed overview of MSC.Software's VPD strategy and latest trends in industries like automotive, aerospace, biomedical, civil engineering, electronics & electromechanical, general machinery, military & defense, packaging, rail, research & development, offshore, shipbuilding and sports & leisure. In addition to the informative presentation tracks Special Interest Groups stimulated a more interactive discussion and exchange of ideas.

The Conference also provided ample opportunities for networking with peers, partners and MSC.Software experts. Especially the relaxed atmosphere of the social evening events has been very conductive to further informal discussion.
