Digimat wins the prestigious R&D 100 Award

NEWPORT BEACH, CA--(November 7, 2016) – e-Xstream engineering, an MSC Software Company announced today that Digimat, the multi-scale material modeling platform, was recognized as the recipient for the 2016 R&D 100 Award. e-Xstream engineering developed Digimat Virtual Allowable ("VA"), - provides users with an embedded vertical solution specifically tailored for aerospace and automotive composites structures. Its breakthrough software solution uses advanced technology. Digimat changes the way composite structures are designed by drastically reducing the time and cost for obtaining composite material properties, and expanding the design space of possible layups. This allows users to achieve their design goals in a more efficient manner by creating a more optimized workflow.

"We were very happy to be alongside this group of finalist which includes major US National Labs and Key universities like MIT. Winning the R&D 100 award is a great honor for Digimat and the entire e-Xstream team for developing innovative material modeling solutions."- Dr. Roger Assaker, CEO of e-Xstream engineering and Chief Material Strategist of MSC Software.

The R&D 100 Awards recognizes the top 100 technologically innovative products that were introduced in the past year. The Finalists were selected by an independent panel of more than 70 judges. This year's Finalists represent many of the industry's leading organizations and national laboratories, as well as many newcomers to the R&D 100 Awards. It is often referred to as the "Oscars of Invention."
